Meet the ADSHG Executive

executive committee of volunteers who help manage the publication of
information, communications and finances of the group. |

Alyson Elliott: Treasurer & member of finance
sub-committee
Alyson was diagnosed with
Addison’s Disease in May 1995 and joined ADSHG a few months
later.

Noel Hawks: Committee Member
I was diagnosed with
Addison’s disease and hypothyroidism in 1987. Some years
later, I learnt about the ADSHG from a magazine article
that my mother passed on to me.

Deana Kenward:
President, member of editorial
panel and finance sub-committee
Deana Kenward
is the President and also the Co-ordinator of the Addison’s Disease Self-Help
Group, a role she has held since she founded the group in
1984.

Mary (Tag) McEntegart: Committee Member
Tag was
diagnosed in early 2003 and found the ADSHG very soon after.
This has allowed her to attend all the medical lectures/AGMs
so far and to benefit from what she describes as the
‘invaluable collective wisdom’ of the group.

Sue Thompson: Member of Finance sub-committee
Sue was diagnosed with
Addison’s Disease in June 2002, after being ill for about a
year and took early retirement from the NHS, where she
worked in NHS Finance since 1986.

Katherine has been an
elected member of the ADSHG’s Executive Committee since
its formation in 2003 and has been nominated by the
committee to act as Chair for its meetings. .

Nick Willson: Web design and member of editorial panel
Nick leads an active life and enjoys circuit training,
Jive dancing and loves adventure sports and trekking. He
was diagnosis with Addison's Disease in July 1996,
following an Addisonian
Crisis triggered, in part, by his participation in a 3-peaks
walking challenge.
