ADSHG charity fundraising places available

This is the page where we list current fundraising opportunities available with the Addison's Disease Self-Help Group, through the group's purchased charity places.

We also have independent runners and community fundraisers who have secured their own places in the various competitive events or created their own community event. You can read more about our various fundraisers who are seeking individual sponsorship in this article.

The ADSHG has five charity places available in the Great Bristol 10K on 7 May 2017

The Great Bristol 10K on Sunday 7 May is a scenic 10K route that takes you underneath Bristol's best-known landmark, the Clifton suspension bridge with spectacular views along the Avon Gorge. This event would be a great entry-level race for anyone who is contemplating taking up running and wishing to raise funds and awareness for ADSHG. Our places are open to anyone who would like to support the work of our charity, although we will give priority to people with Addison's or their familes. Please get in touch if you are keen to give it a go.

The ADSHG has five charity places available in the Great North Run (half marathon) in Newcastle on 10 September 2017
The Great North Run is one of the UK's most popular national events and is a full half marathon (13.1 mile) course. This event is only suitable for people with an established level of fitness who wish to raise funds and awareness for ADSHG. The route takes you from the city centre, over the historic Tyne bridge, all the way to to the coast at South Shields. Most years there is at least one unexpected collapse by a runner who enters it with insufficient training and background fitness.
Our places are open to anyone who would like to support the work of our charity, although we will give priority to people with Addison's or their familes. Please get in touch if you are keen to give it a go.

Our charity can assist you with explanatory leaflets to support your fundraising, guidance on how to create your own web and text giving linked to our JustGiving, Virgin Money Giving or MyDonate fundraising pages, an ADSHG sports vest or t-shirt to wear during your event, and publicity for your fundraising on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
