 Vitamin B6 Controversy
By: Emeritus Professor of Medicine and Senior Endocrinologist
 Date: October 1997
 Ref: Q4- NO.34 October 1997

Q: As a family we take quite a few vitamin pills and I used to take a B complex pill but I remember reading on one of the reports that Vitamin B6 was the one to take to help Addison patients. I have been taking 100mg but if the government reduce the tablet to 10mg except from a doctor, then I would like to hear what the Professor thinks.

A: Vitamin B6 does not help in Addison's Disease. It only helps when there is Vitamin B6 deficiency and there is no reason to expect this to occur in Addison's Disease.
