 Acupuncture as a cure?
By: Emeritus Professor of Medicine and Senior Endocrinologist
 Date: February 1998
 Ref: Q4- NO.36 Feb 1998

Q: Can acupuncture either cure or relieve the effects of Addison's Disease?

A: Acupuncture in Addison's Disease: Although I am all in favour of acupuncture being used to relieve pain and some other conditions such as the withdrawal syndrome in heroin addicts, it is inconceivable to me that the specific features of Addison's Disease can be altered in any way by acupuncture.
