There is so much information here, I sometimes have
difficulty finding my way around. |
|
The website is organised into
a number of major sections, all accessible from the
homepage. You can always get to the homepage by clicking the
ADSHG logo in the top left hand corner of any page. The
navigation bar at the top of each page contains links to the
index pages of all the major sections, which are also a
great place to look back at past information or topics.
Extensive use is made of links to pages within this website
and to other websites. Try moving your mouse over the page
and it should change into a hand and the item should become
underlined if it is a link. Basically anything looking like
this: a
link back here is a link and can be clicked and so can
the pictures. Text which is
purple like this is generally a heading and not a
link.

|
|
I still can't find the information I'm looking for. What
now? |
|
Try using the
sitemap which gives a good "at-a-glance" overview of the
site's contents. The sitemap can be reached by using the
link contained at the bottom of each page. Alternatively use
our website search facility by clicking the search icon
which is on top of each page. |
|
|
|
I am confused by your web address as sometimes I see it
referred to as www.addisonsdisease.org.uk and sometimes as
www.adshg.org.uk |
|
The actual website addresss
is www.adshg.org.uk
but we have also registered
www.addisonsdisease.org.uk which point to our website,
as this is more meaningful to people. One disadvantage of
the
www.addisonsdisease.org.uk address is it employs 'URL
gripping', meaning the name always appears in the address
bar of your browser. This means you cannot bookmark
individual pages within our site or manually type in
addresses. If this causes you a problem simply use
the www.adshg.org.uk
address. |
|
|
|
Sometimes I have difficulty printing the information out
which is displayed on my screen. What can I do to fix this? |
|
Try changing your printers
page orientation from "Portrait" to "Landscape" this helps
to capture onto a printed page. |
|
|
|
What is a PDF file and why do I need to download special
software to view it? |
|
PDF (Portable Document
Format) is a universal file format that captures all the
elements of a document. To view PDF files, you need to have Adobe® Acrobat®
Reader installed in your computer. You can
download the latest Acrobat® Reader for free
from
Adobe's website. Once you have downloaded the Reader, it
will start automatically whenever you want to look at a PDF
file. |
