Katherine joined the ADSHG in 1999, several months after her diagnosis with Addison’s in 1998.  She found the ADSHG by doing an internet search about Addison’s and has been keen to support the development the group’s internet material since then. 

Katherine joined the ADSHG in 1999, several months after her diagnosis with Addison’s in 1998.

She co-authored the Owner’s Manual with Sarah Baker, which was published by the ADSHG in 2000 and has played a key role in the creation of the Research and Publication Fund and in the development of the group website. Katherine continues to be instrumental in both these aspects of the ADSHG, as well as being a full time parent to her pre-school twins, who were born after her Addison’s diagnosis.

Prior to bringing up a family, Katherine worked as a human resources consultant and as the public policy analyst for an energy, pulp and paper company. She has lived and worked in Australia and New Zealand and is an accredited member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Accountants (ACIS). She is also a Director for the limited liability company which manages her London mansion block.
