Katherine was diagnosed in 1998 and became actively involved with the ADSHG in 2000, when Sarah Baker invited her to co-author the Owner’s Manual which was published by the ADSHG. 

Katherine was diagnosed in 1998 and became actively involved with the ADSHG in 2000, when Sarah Baker invited her to co-author the Owner’s Manual which was published by the ADSHG. She was elected as a trustee in 2003 and has been nominated by the trustees to act as Chair for its meetings. Katherine is also the co-ordinator for the Addison’s Clinical Advisory Panel, chaired by Professor John Wass. She led the development of the 2003 international Addison’s survey, the results from which were accepted onto the scientific programme at the British Endocrine Society conferences in 2005, 2006 and 2007.

Katherine is a full-time parent to her twins, who were born after her Addison’s diagnosis. She is an accredited member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Accountants (ACIS).
