“You and your GP”
by Professor John Wass
Professor
Wass will discuss how to get the most out of your
relationship with your GP, and how to ensure they are able
to work well with an endocrinologist as part of your health
care team. He will draw on the findings of the ADSHG’s 2003
international survey to describe the typical health profile
and ongoing symptoms experienced by people with treated
Addison’s disease. Professor Wass will highlight those
areas where the GP can be most effective in helping you to
manage your health.
The medical
lecture will be preceded by the annual general meeting of
the ADSHG. The afternoon’s proceedings will conclude with
tea and coffee, plus the opportunity to practise the
emergency injection technique. Members are welcome to
invite their GP to attend this lecture, in addition to
family and friends.
We will be
asking for a donation at the door of £5 waged, £2 unwaged to
cover the costs of venue hire, catering and other expenses.
