2006 AGM & Medical Lecture - 13 May 2006

Dr Wiebke Arlt of the Birmingham University Medical School will give the 2006 medical lecture on the subject of “Sex and Addison’s: how adrenal insufficiency affects men and women differently”

“Sex and Addison's:
how adrenal insufficiency affects men and women differently”

Dr Wiebke Arlt of the Birmingham University Medical School will give the 2006 medical lecture on the subject of “Sex and Addison’s: how adrenal insufficiency affects men and women differently”. Dr Arlt is the author of several studies on DHEA and adrenal insufficiency; she is a
member of the Addison’s Clinical Advisory Panel.

 

Dr Simon Pearce will also be there to answer questions about his research into the genetic origins of autoimmune Addison’s and take blood samples from volunteers with autoimmune Addison’s.
 
ADSHG AGM
The afternoon’s proceeding will begin with the ADSHG annual general meeting, followed by the lecture and will conclude with tea and coffee. There will also be a chance to practise your emergency injection technique. Katherine White

 

We will be asking for a donation at the door of £5 waged, £2 unwaged to cover the costs of venue hire, catering and other expenses.  To ensure we have enough seating for everyone, please confirm your attendance with Noel Hawks and let him know if you will be bringing a guest.

How to find Hinde Street  Church Hall
The West London Mission Hall is on the corner of Hinde Street and Thayer Street, see map.  The entrance itself is on Thayer Street.  Nearest tubes are Bond Street and Oxford Circus.  Parking is available at several parking buildings within the area.

 

Disabled Access

Disabled/lift access to the hall is via the blue door on Hinde Street. Please ring the bell near the gate and the caretaker will buzz you in.
