In the UK the shelf life is now extended from 12 to to 24 months, when it is stored in the fridge. In North America, the storage specification for the uncoloured Florinef remains unchanged, to be stored at room temperature with a shelf-life of around 12 months. The ADSHG has received reports from its members, that some pharmacies have been storing the new tablets - incorrectly - at room temperature.  It is unclear at present how storage at room temperature might affect this new formulation. The manufacturer, Bristol Myers Squibb, has yet to issue any information to medical practitioners about the changes to their product.  We will bring you further information in future newsletters as we can.
