ADSHG crisis guidelines
The ADSHG crisis guidelines provide emergency medical treatment guidance for paramedics or hospital staff in the event of a person with Addison's suffering an adrenal crisis. This letter should be signed by your doctor. This document is also available to download in eight foreign languages for those who live or travel abroad.
ADSHG emergency wallet card
The ADSHG emergency wallet card is credit card sized and contains advice, authored by the ADSHG Clinical Advisory Panel, on the treatment required to prevent an adrenal crisis in the event of serious injury or illness. It is only available in hard copy form and is sent free to every member upon joining the group.
ADSHG surgical guidelines
The ADSHG surgical guidelines are intended for the information of your medical team or your dentist and have been developed for the ADSHG by our Clinical Advisory Panel. They explain what level of extra medication and monitoring you will need in the event of most types of minor or major surgery or dental work.
ADSHG drugs chart steroid alert stickers
The ADSHG drugs chart steroid alert stickers are intended for people with Addison's to take with them for day case and inpatient surgical procedures to alert nursing and medical staff to their steroid-dependence and their time-critical need for steroid medication when unwell.
This medical summary form is an easy way to record the medications you are currently taking as an aide-mémoire and as a guide for medical professionals, when my medical records are unavailable and your medications need to be known.
Managing your Addison's
This ADSHG leaflet, Managing Addison's disease, has been developed for the ADSHG by our Clinical Advisory Panel. It provides a summary of the key points everyone with Addison's needs to know to manage their health. It is designed primarily to assist those who have been recently diagnosed and is ideal for hospitals and endocrinology units to give to their patients with Addison's.
When an employee has Addison's: information for employers
The ADSHG 'When an employee has Addison's' leaflet was written to help people with Addison's disease who are newly diagnosed – or changing jobs – to explain their condition to an employer. It was written by members of the ADSHG with input from our Clinical Advisory Panel.
When a student has Addison's: a guide for schools and parents
The ADSHG booklet 'When a student has Addison's: a guide for schools and parents' was written to help young people with Addison's who are in education to explain the condition, considerations needed and support required by a school or educational establishment.

ADSHG newsletters (members only)
The ADSHG newsletter is a members only publication, which is published every quarter. It contains the latest updates, drug supply news, details of meetings, personal stories and ADSHG group news relevant to anyone with Addison's. It has been published online since September 2005 and the full archive of 50+ newsletters is available to group members here...
A printed copy of the current newsletter is included in the new postal members' pack.
Addison's disease owner's manual
Some of the medical information it was based on has been superseded by more recent research and many of the references it contains are now out of date. Current guidance on clinical best practice from the Addison's Clinical Advisory Panel (ACAP) can be found in the our more recent publications which we encourage you to read alongside the owner's manual.
